About Me

Donna Gapas is a LCSW specializing in individual, couples and family therapy and maintains a private practice in Lebanon, NJ.

With over 30 years of experience as a therapist, and as a graduate of Hunter College specializing in mental health and group therapy, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are the treatment of trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, addiction and grief.

In addition to being a therapist, Donna Gapas has presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on topics of Aging, Addiction, Crisis Intervention, Family Challenges and Cultural Diversity. She is a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University, Graduate School of Social Work teaching courses on Adult Violence, Human Behavior, Social Welfare Poilcy and Diversity and Oppression.

Donna Gapas is an interactive therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates evidenced based, trauma informed care methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
